The intent of this process is to establish an eligibility list for casual and temporary staffing opportunities at the same occupational group and level within Canada Council for the Arts

Assessments may be conducted on a rolling basis, and candidates may be contacted at any time during this process

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the program manager, the senior administrative assistant:

  • Supports the program manager and program director.
  • Controls the administrative workflow of grant programs, program initiatives and special projects in a multidisciplinary context.
  • Provides a full range of procedurally based administrative, financial and program services.
  • Contributes to office initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties.

Education

  • Two (2)-year college program, preferably in office administration or equivalent knowledge gained through specialized training and experience.

Experience

  • Five (5) years of experience in office administration or the equivalent combination of specialized education, training and experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • The ability to use modern office technology, equipment and software.
  • Solid organizational, administrative, analysis and interpersonal skills.

Bilingual Requirements

This position requires the use of both official languages. The requirements in the second official language are:

  • An intermediate level in reading comprehension (B)
  • An intermediate level in writing (B)
  • An advanced level in oral (C)
