How do I create an account in the candidate portal?

  • Click “Register” in the menu at the top of the Hireserve candidate portal.
  • Follow the prompts to provide the required information, such as your name, email address, and a password.
  • Confirm that you have read our privacy policy.
  • Click “Submit” to create your account.
  • You will receive a confirmation email for your account.

 

How do I apply for a job?

  • Click “View opportunities” on the Canada Council Careers page. You will be taken to the list of job postings.
  • Search for available job opportunities by browsing through the list of posted jobs.
  • Click on the job title to view the job details.
  • If you believe you meet the qualifications and requirements, click on “Apply for this job.”
  • Follow the prompts to submit your application, which will involve uploading your resume and cover letter, filling out your information, and answering any application questions.
  • Click “Next” to move to the next section of the application.
  • When you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email.

 

How can I track the status of my job application?

  • Log in to your Hireserve candidate portal account. If you have not created an account, you can register at any time with the email you used for your application. Please refer to “How do I create an account in the candidate portal?” for instructions.
  • Click “My Profile” in the menu at the top. You will find your submitted application with a status, which may be updated as it progresses through different stages of the recruitment process.
  • Please note that only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the job will be contacted by email.

 

How can I update my submitted job application?

You can update your submitted application by withdrawing it and submitting a new one before the job posting’s closing date.

  • Log in to your Hireserve candidate portal account. If you have not created an account, you can register at any time with the email you used for your application. Please refer to “How do I create an account in the candidate portal?” for instructions.
  • Click “Security and Preferences” in the menu at the top.
  • From the drop-down menu, click “Withdraw Application.”
  • Select the application you want to withdraw and click “Submit.” Please note that the comment box is an optional field for you to enter your reason for withdrawing. You have now withdrawn your application. You will receive a confirmation of your withdrawal by email. You can now apply again with your updated documents and information.

 

How can I reset my password?

  • Click “Login” in the menu at the top of the candidate portal.
  • Click on “Forgot Password.”
  • Enter the email address you used for your application. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.

 

How can I withdraw my job application?

  • Log in to your Hireserve candidate portal account. If you have not created an account, you can register at any time with the email you used for your application. Please refer to “How do I create an account in the candidate portal?” for instructions.
  • Click “Security and Preferences” in the menu at the top.
  • From the drop-down menu, click “Withdraw Application.”

How can I update my profile information?

  • Log in to your Hireserve candidate portal account. If you have not created an account, you can register at any time with the email you used for your application. Please refer to “How do I create an account in the candidate portal?” for instructions.
  • Click “Security and Preferences” in the top menu.
  • From the drop-down menu, click “Personal Details.”
  • Edit the relevant information, such as your name and country.
  • Click “Save” to save the changes to your profile.
