Program Assistant

About the Role
Under the direct supervision of the program manager / administrative coordinator/manager, the program assistant:
- Performs a variety of administrative support functions including the preparation and coordination of documents, reports, and financial data to support the grant delivery process.
- Assists with the organization, execution, and documentation of the assessment process in accordance with policies.
- Coordinates logistics for webinars, committees, and meetings.
- Responds to general inquiries or redirects inquiries as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties.
Education
- Secondary school diploma and some specialized training related to the responsibilities of the position.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in the administrative or secretarial field.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to use modern office technology, equipment and software.
- Ability to work with multiple and strict deadlines.
- Solid initiative, judgment, prioritization, organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management and administrative skills.
- Familiarity with the arts and arts funding would be an asset.
Bilingual Requirements
This position requires the use of both official languages. The requirements in the second official language are:
- an intermediate level in reading comprehension (B)
- a basic level in writing (A)
- an intermediate level in oral (B)
